To recover/transfer a Portal Quest account, please make sure that you have first connected Facebook as a recovery method. (Or Google+ if both devices are Android, GameCenter if both devices are iOS) Facebook is the only method available to transfer accounts across device platforms(i.e. Android to iOS); therefore it is the most recommended recovery method since it will work for everyone regardless of device.
Take the following steps to recover your account:
- Launch Portal Quest
- Tap the green ‘Main Menu’ button at the bottom of the screen
- Under ‘Heroes and Gear’ scroll over and tap ‘Account’
- Scroll down and tap on the 'Accounts' button
- If you do not see your account Tap on the 'Lost Account' button
- Attempt to connect to Facebook (&/or Google+/GameCenter) to recover your account (please note: your account will have to be connected to these recovery methods prior to losing your account in order to recover it. If you still have access to both devices, you can simply connect to the same recovery method from both devices to transfer your account)
ANDROID ONLY alternative recovery method: Android users are also able to recover accounts by connecting the email address associated with your Portal Quest account(s) to your current device. You will then be able to locate your existing account(s) associated with that email address in the "Accounts" Menu. If playing on multiple Android devices, you will want to make sure that you have the same Primary email address connected to each device.
- The email address associated with your Portal Quest account will change & default to the primary email address of the device you are launching the account from. We cannot lock an email address to a Portal Quest account.
- You will only be able to access your account from devices that have the associated email address connected directly to the device. If playing on multiple devices you will want to have one email address set as the Primary email across every device.
If you are still having problems finding your account, you can open a support request by following these instructions. When doing so, please provide the exact information about the Account you are attempting to recover:
- Exact name of your Portal Quest Account
- Account ID # (found by tapping on 'Account' in the Main Menu)
- Exact Team Level of your Account
- VIP Level of account
- Exact name of your Guild
- Exact model of device your account was created on/last played on
- "Name" given to your device (iOS only)
- Email address that was connected to your previous device (Android Only)
- Transaction ID for any purchases that you made that could help us identify you as the owner (Android Only)
